What have we been up to in April and May?

We have had a busy and exciting few months - take a look at what we have been up to!

Our staff started April with a Development Day planning a brighter future for Aspire!

Our new Supporting Sisters Volunteers completed their Level 2 Training! Make sure to say hi when you see them around them centre!

Our FAB group was joined by Lisa who showed us how to crochet! This was a skill that she first learned at Aspire and still uses to produce some fabulous items! She is a true Aspire success!

We had a great time at our Easter social! It was a fun afternoon filled with a good lunch, a quiz, Easter facts, a raffle and two Easter competitions!

Take a look at the winning Easter bonnet and decorated egg!

Our FAB group was kindly joined by Tonya Pattinson from Durham Police and Crime Commissioners to talk about her work with domestic abuse

Grant Barron from National Energy Action came to talk to our FAB group about energy saving and the various grants and support available for over 60s!

We launched our first monthly crafty workshop! The May workshop was Sip ā€˜n’ Paint in which our women created some fabulous paintings whilst enjoying tea and cake and a chat!

Our lovely Alison joined our FAB group to demonstrate hand and arm massage and our women learned how to do it themselves!

We ended May with a Spring Social! There were some fun Spring facts, a quiz and stand up bingo! We also had a choice of pie or quiche with peas, salad and potato salad! A fun afternoon was had by all!
