Aspire Celebrates World Mental Health Day!
World Mental Health Day is celebrated on 10th October every year. It is an opportunity for us all to talk about mental health and consider how, together, we can help everyone have better mental health.
This year’s theme is ‘access to services - mental health in catastrophes and emergencies’. The theme highlights the importance of people being able to protect their mental health whatever they are going through, because everyone deserves good mental health!
At Aspire, we celebrated by hosting a World Mental Health Day themed Breakfast Club in which our women were invited to come along for a warm, healthy breakfast (and cake to celebrate too!) or simply a cuppa and a chat! We also had a quiz! The morning was a great way to meet together as Aspire women, have a chat, and prioritise talking about our mental health.
We also shared tips with our women from the Mental Health Foundation about how to talk about your own mental health!
